The Destination Alaska Exhibit Celebration brings together 49th State Brewing, BMW Motorrad, and the University of Alaska Museum of the North to honor the enduring pull of Alaska as a place of adventure, transformation, and discovery.
Join us at 49th State Brewing at 248 Parks Hwy 5 mile in Healy on Saturday, May 9th to celebrate 49th State Brewing / Denali Park’s season opener. This event highlights the Destination Alaska exhibit and the shared values of exploration that connect all three partners. From BMW motorcycles built for the open road, to the stories preserved by the Museum of the North, to 49th State Brewing’s own origins when founder David McCarthy rode to Alaska on a BMW bike, the event captures the magnetic draw of the North. Set against the backdrop of Denali and the iconic Into the Wild bus, this gathering is part of the brewery’s season-opening festivities and a tribute to the journeys that continue to define Alaska.
2-4PM: Live music in the pub by the Casey Smith Project
4-6PM: Celebrate the journey! View BMW motorcycle’s on display, talk with the museum director, watch the documentary of Agustin Ostos from Argentina to Alaska, and take home Frontier Alaska Soda’s newest flavors.
10PM-close: Dance party with DJ Militant
